About Jones Snowboards
Jones Snowboards was founded in 2009 in Truckee, California by Jeremy Jones, a big-mountain freerider known for his Deeper, Further and Higher film projects. The brand grew out of Jeremy's experience in demanding terrain and his search for gear that could handle it, and exploration and environmental responsibility have been central to it from the start. Jones is now part of the Nidecker Group, alongside brands like ThirtyTwo. Learn more about Jones' story.
Jones Board Range
Jones is best known for freeride snowboards and splitboards, and that freeride reputation is well earned. The range goes further than that though, with boards for all-mountain riding, powder, resort freeride, resort freestyle and turn-focused carving, so there's a Jones for resort riders as well as backcountry explorers. Models like the Flagship, Howler, Mountain Twin and Hovercraft show how the lineup spans freeride, all-mountain and powder riding, and shaping ideas like the 3D Contour Base are designed to help with turn initiation and float.
Jones and the Environment
Jeremy founded Protect Our Winters in 2007, before the equipment brand existed, and environmental responsibility runs through how Jones operates. The company reports milestones including recycled materials in its early boards, a published supply-chain map in 2015, solar-powered board production in 2020, and snowboard reclamation technology in 2023 that turns recovered board material into reinforcement for new boards. In 2024, the Jones factory became Fair Trade Certified.
Riders and Team
Jeremy leads a team closely associated with freeriding and mountain exploration, including Elena Hight, Victor De Le Rue, Robin Van Gyn, Forrest Shearer, Antti Autti, Garrett Warnick and Marissa Krawczak.
