About Arbor Snowboards
Arbor has been making snowboards since 1995, and it's known for its wood-inspired look, a genuine commitment to the environment, and a team that ranges from Olympic freestyle riders to some of snowboarding's most respected freeriders.
School friends Bob Carlson and Chris Jensen founded Arbor in Venice, California, in 1995. They had worked with sustainably sourced wood before starting the brand, and their early boards used Hawaiian koa wood topsheets, which made the material part of Arbor's look from day one. Arbor grew into a collective of riders, artists and business partners, and it has since expanded into skateboards too, connecting its snow, surf and skate roots.

Arbor Board Tech
Arbor's wood look sits alongside some thoughtful shaping. Its System Camber and System Rocker profiles use a parabolic curve rather than a simple single radius, and Grip Tech adds extra contact points along the edges near your feet to help the board hold on firm snow. On some cambered boards, Fender Tech lifts the edges slightly near the tips and tails so they're less likely to catch (a kind of 3D base profiling). Profiles and features vary from model to model, so check the details on each board, or ask our team to explain the differences.
Returning Roots
Environmental responsibility has been part of Arbor since the beginning. Its Returning Roots programme supports the restoration of native Hawaiian forest, a nod to the koa wood that shaped the brand's early boards. Arbor also uses materials like wood veneers, bamboo and bio-based components in its board constructions.
Boards and Riders
Arbor's team covers everything from park to big mountains, with riders like Olympic slopestyle champion Red Gerard, Bryan Iguchi, Marie-France Roy, Pat Moore, Jared Elston, Erik Leon and Danny Kass. Bryan Iguchi, one of snowboarding's most respected OG freeriders, has his own pro model, and the wider range includes boards like the Astrowaste, Rooster Fish and El Camino, plus women's models like the Swoon and Sin Cara.
