The Burton Step On® Split binding system simplifies the boot, binding interface by creating a convenient, user-friendly system that eliminates the hassle of traditional binding straps.
Burton Step On® Split bindings let you move easily between ride and tour modes. The bindings use a toe hook and a heel clip system similar to the regular Step On® binding system to connect with the Step On® boots for a simple, intuitive, and secure connection. A release lever on the binding heel cup disengages the heel clip and lets you step out.

Features
-
Toe Cleats Located on both sides of the boot toe, the toe cleats keep the boot toe aligned and connected to front of the Step On® binding.
-
Toe Hooks Located on the Step On® baseplate, the Toe Hooks align and hold your boot toe into place. Their spring-loaded hinge design automatically connects with the boot and lets you enter and exit the baseplate with a single motion. Step On Split Bindings come with an additional set of toe hooks to keep you prepared in the backcountry.
-
Heel Cleat Located on the boot heel, the Heel Cleat clicks into the binding heel cup to lock the boot into the Step On® binding.
-
Heel Clip The Heel Clip automatically locks the boot into the binding. Similar to a ratchet buckle on a traditional binding, it uses our Smooth Glide® technology for easy engagement and secure hold.
-
Cuff Clip Located on the boot backstay, the Cuff Clip keeps pant cuffs from interfering with the Heel Cleat.
-
Release Lever The Release Lever is located on the side of the binding heel cup and is used to release the boot. Just pull the lever up, let it go, and step out. The lever automatically resets after stepping out, so you can step back in anytime.
-
T1 Snap Ramp Located at the toe of the binding, the Tesla T1 Snap Ramp snaps into place to secure the binding to the split pucks or Touring Bracket.
-
FLAD The Forward Lean Adjuster, or FLAD, lets you set your forward lean to one of four settings, or choose the Tour setting for a negative lean option when in touring mode.
-
Climbing Wire Located under the heel of the binding, the climbing wire gives you two climbing positions—medium or tall—in addition to flat for touring.
-
Touring Brackets The Touring Brackets include a heel rest and mount to your board between the heel pucks.
